If an animal has died, use Record death on its card. Enter the date of death and, if needed, an optional note. The deceased animal remains in the main Animals list, where its card and all historical records stay available. It is not moved to the archive.
While a death record exists, the animal cannot be archived or marked for sale. You can remove the record at any time from the animal's card using Cancel death record. The animal then returns to normal active status and both actions become available again.
If you need to permanently remove an animal from active records, use Archive instead.
