Animal card

The animal card is the central place for all information about an individual. Open it by tapping the animal in the list.

Animal profile

The top of the card shows the key details — primary species name, secondary species name, individual name, morph, sex, current location and current weight. If the animal has a photo, a quick preview is displayed here. Tap the photo to open the original image in full size. Upload or change the photo by tapping the camera icon.

Tabs on the animal card

Overview

The Overview tab brings together the animal's details, how it was acquired, its parents, CITES information, recent records and statistics. For animals received through a transfer, a known parent's code is shown even if their card is not in your animal list. The tab also has quick actions to add feeding, weight or a health record, and to move the animal.

Select one of the five most recent records in the history overview to open its tab. The record is found automatically.

History

A chronological list of all recorded events across every area of the records — feeding, health records, clutches, quarantine, weight, length measurements, sheds, general events and moves. Records are paginated and always sorted newest first.

Tapping any record navigates directly to the corresponding tab. The app switches to the correct page and scrolls the record into view. Feeding records, clutches, health records and sheds open their detail directly in the tab.

Development

Charts showing weight and length development over time. The tab displays two charts: weight in grams and length in centimetres, both sorted chronologically. If the animal has multiple measurement types, you can switch between them; the default type is based on the animal's most recent measurement record. Charts update automatically when a record is added or changed.

Feeding

A chronological list of all feeding records. Add a new record with the plus button. Each record shows the date, food type and whether the animal accepted, refused or has not yet confirmed the food.

Tap a record to open its detail directly in this tab. Returning restores the original feeding list.

When a detail is open in the Feeding, Clutches or Health tab, tap the name of the same tab in the top menu to return to its list.

Above the list, the Feeding composition chart shows a donut chart of food type distribution by record count. Filter by time period (30 days / 90 days / 1 year / All) and mode (Given — all records, Accepted — accepted only).

Clutches

This tab is shown only for females. Overview of clutches with details and the option to add a new clutch, record hatchlings or log removed eggs.

Health

The tab contains five sections:

  • Health records — health cases with a chronological history of progress, examinations and treatment. Tap a case to open its detail directly in the Health tab. Returning restores the original health record list.
  • Sheds — shedding records with status, outcome and progress notes. Tap a record to open its detail directly in the Health tab. Returning restores the shed list.
  • Weight — a list of weight records in grams, newest first. Each record shows weight, date and an optional note.
  • Length measurements — length records in cm with measurement type (Total length, SVL, Shell length or Other) and an optional note.
  • Quarantine — quarantine period records with start date, end date and a note.

Events

General animal events — observations, behaviour, reproduction, handling or other notes. Each event has a date, type, name and an optional note.

Location

The animal's current location and a history of moves — which terrarium or slot the animal was moved to and when.

Documents

Uploaded files — CITES certificates, vet reports or other documents. View files directly in the app at any time.

Actions on the animal card

From the animal card you can:

  • Edit the animal's details.
  • Mark for sale — a visible flag on the card. Not available for a deceased animal.
  • Sell / gift — record an animal sale to a customer or record it as a gift. Opens a dialog where you select the record type, enter the date and choose a customer or recipient. On confirmation the animal is marked Sold or Gifted, loses the Active flag and no longer counts toward the active animal licence limit.
  • Add quarantine — mark the animal as being in quarantine.
  • Record death — log the date and circumstances of death. A deceased animal remains in the main list with all its historical records, is automatically excluded from the active animal licence count, and loses the For sale flag.
  • Archive — move the animal to the archive (permanent removal from active records). Not available for a deceased animal — cancel the death record first.

Sold animal

For an animal with a recorded sale, the card shows the sale date and the customer. Instead of the Sell / gift action, the Cancel sale record action is available. After confirming, the animal returns to active status. If the customer was created exclusively for this sale and has no other recorded sales, they are automatically removed.

For a gifted animal, the card shows the gift date and recipient. If the recipient is a customer, select their name to open their details.

Deceased animal

For an animal with a recorded death, the card offers two options instead of one:

  • Edit death record — change the date of death or the note.
  • Cancel death record — return the animal to normal active status. After confirming, the death record is cleared and the animal counts toward the active animal licence limit again. All other animal details are kept — it's up to you what to fill in or correct afterwards.
