Development is moving forward, and right now we’re focusing mainly on two larger additions that we’d like to introduce.
Sales and animal transfers between keepers
The first new feature will be animal sales records.
For a sold animal, you’ll be able to record who it was sold to and when the sale took place. The animal won’t disappear from the original records, and its existing history will remain available.
Sales records will also be followed by animal transfers between two keepers if both use our app.
This will allow the new owner to continue keeping records for the animal, while the previous owner keeps their own history.
The new feature will also include a customer code and QR code to make it easier to identify the other keeper during a sale or transfer.
Species Atlas
The second major addition is the Species Atlas, which we’re preparing directly on the website.
We want to gradually bring together individual species, their names, taxonomy and other available information from multiple sources.
We don’t want it to be just a long list of species names. The aim is to create a place where you can look up a particular species and find useful information about it in one place.
The Atlas is also not being built only as a separate part of the website. In the future, we want to use its data in other parts of the app as well.
Work on both new features is already under way. Once they’re finished and released, we’ll let you know and show you what they bring.
