Having all your animals' information neatly organised in one place is great. But sometimes, it's useful to have that information available outside the app too. And that's exactly what we've been working on recently.
With the upcoming Herpadex 0.7.0 update, you can look forward to a wide range of data export options in PDF and Excel formats.
What Will You Be Able to Export?
Whether you need to print a complete animal record, keep a copy of its medical history or create your own overview of your collection, the new export features will make it possible.
We're preparing exports for nine areas of the app:
Animal List – Key information about all your animals in one convenient overview.
Weight and Length Development – Measurement history, including charts in PDF exports.
Health History – Health records, shedding records and quarantine history.
Breeding and Clutches – An overview of clutches and their development.
Feeding – Complete history of recorded feeding sessions.
Animal Record – A detailed document containing information and history for an individual animal.
Sales and Transfers – Records of customers, sold or gifted animals, and animal transfers.
Equipment – An overview of equipment and its assignments to enclosures.
Enclosures and Racks – An overview of your housing setups, their layout and occupancy.
PDF or Excel? It's Up to You!
Each export will be available in two formats.
PDF is ideal when you need a well-organised document to print, archive or share, for example, with an animal's new owner. Selected exports will also include charts.
Excel (XLSX) is perfect for those who want to work with their data further, create custom overviews or process information according to their own needs.
When Will the New Features Be Available?
All the planned export features have now been completed and are undergoing final checks and testing.
If everything goes according to plan, we expect to release update 0.7.0 later this week.
